CSA 2013: Week 5

Last weekend was pretty perfect. My brother and sister-in-law were in town for a family wedding and while Bethany was busy with her bridesmaid’s duties, my brother and I hung out that morning like old times. He came with me to pick up my CSA and we picked up some raspberry white chocolate scones, because they’re great. Marc was grilling ribs in our charcoal grill all morning and did other manly chores like mow the lawn and wash the cars. We sat down for lunch with grilled ribs and a big green salad. A few clusters of organic grapes were our dessert. We happily ate and then slipped into our dress clothes for a lakeside wedding.

This week we received butterhead lettuce, dinosaur kale, french breakfast radishes, arugula and lavender.

CSA 2013: Week 5

The day was incredibly gorgeous, like the bride. A cool breeze was in the air and we were shaded by the trees. I could have sat there forever. We celebrated with the happy couple and danced the night away.
