It’s officially winter and time to glorify the beauty of fall and brace ourselves for cozy nights indoors. This fall’s brunch game was STRONG. I count 6 brunch pics!
Photo above is from our fall vacation to Traverse City at Bonobo Winery.
I love toast. I said this to Marc recently and he said that’s never something that’s come out of his mouth. His loss, man. Especially when I have incredible American Spoon jam to go on top.
My favorite dish at The White Horse Inn! Housemade bread and butter pickles served with fried cheese bread. Sounds weird (or does is?) but it’s really good.
I don’t really drink beer, but I am passionate about cute beer cans and bottles.
That time my brother and I accidentally had Michigan-shaped steak including the upper peninsula.
These buttered radish tartines I made for Coco+Kelley are the easiest and tastiest.
The most fun chocolate making class at Bon Bon Bon!
A fall trip to the Holland Farmers Market. I wish I had a bushel of honey crisps right now.
They had pretty pumpkins and gourds, too.
Having fun on a gray day at Crane’s Apple Orchard.
The cinnamon swirl bread with apple butter I bought at Crane’s.
We were in the Ann Arbor area and very hungry, so we went to Zingerman’s Roadhouse for dinner. Our waitress checked my ID because I ordered a drink and later she gave me these Zang candy bars because she saw my birthday was coming up. So nice!
Pretty concord grapes from my sister-in-law’s yard.
Made a concord grape + balsamic vinegar shrub and made shrub soda, too.
Brunch at Selden Standard for my birthday! It included a cinnamon roll with mascarpone icing + crispy tater tots.
Just one of a million reasons why Megan is the best.
Epic card finds.
My favorite ramen at Slurping Turtle. Plus they have fresh-squeezed oj mimosas at brunch!
The day I discovered macarons and matcha lattes at a new place near work.
#Pierogi4Lyfe! (at Gold Cash Gold)
That surreal day when I met Wolfgang Puck and saw him take pictures of food with his phone.
I guess brunch was top priority this fall? Smoked salmon eggs Benedict at The Meeting House.
Remember those pumpkin tahini overnight oats? Still dreamy.
Salty caramel coffee + pistachio ice cream at Blank Slate Creamery. Later I remembered it was the exact same thing I ordered last time. I guess I know what I like. I usually don’t get waffle cones, but you want as much ice cream as possible at this place.
The BEST bloody marys + chilaquiles at Imperial with friends.
Mmm…cheesecake with pomegranate-vanilla bean cranberry sauce in my new vintage pan.
It really snowed one day and that’s the last we’ve seen of it.
Making cranberry sauce for Thanksgiving in my pj’s.
I was surprised the old smoke shop in downtown Holland featured Bender from Futurama. I’m equally surprised that I remember his name.
Sweet little Judah.
This is how the visit with Santa went.

Fruity Pebbles macaron!
Watched this Detroit punks documentary about The Gories and this guy’s shirt made me laugh.
Poached some cardamom pears.
Went to a fun little elephant-themed baby shower.
Came for the buttery sweet dough flavor and left with sale impulse purchases from King Arthur Flour.
This fried egg blt from Gold Cash Gold gets all the brunch awards!
Had some jeans hemmed at The Detroit Denim Co and met some super nice people that taught us some good stuff about jeans.
Liege waffle mix part 2.
Finished liege waffles with mascarpone and poached pears. They were so good, but my waffle iron is a caramelized sugar mess. I told Marc that all I want for Christmas is for someone else to clean it. Update: Carefully pour boiling water in waffle plates (one side at a time) to melt sugar and pour out. Wipe out with sponge. Marc cleaned it for me 🙂 🙂 🙂
